Cowrie shells are used the world over for decorating textiles and jewelry. They were also used as currency. This vintage tassel was most likely salvaged from a Banjara arm bracelet. Beads and bells decorate these tassels. Embellish a tribal belt, a headpiece, or create your own arm bracelet. India.
