Previously worn by village women in Rajasthan, India these vintage Banjara skirts are authentic tribal wear! The waistband is often embellished with embroidery, shisha mirror work, and beading. The skirt is typically decorated with applique work and embroidery. The skirts are quite full due to the pleating at the waistband and if split at the seam they fly open while spinning! No two alike! Beautiful worn over a 25-yard tribal skirt or pantaloons. Due to the authentic vintage wear there may be holes, stains, fading, missing/cracked mirrors, or other flaws. In particular, there are a few small holes near the seamline on the bottom of the blue tier. India.
