Previously worn by village women in Rajasthan and Gujarat, India these vintage Banjara cholis are authentic tribal wear! Each one is unique, handmade, and is often embellished with embroidery, applique, shisha mirror work, tin buttons, metal beads, or old coins. These mirrored cholis have an open back and close with ties. They are a popular style with tribal belly dancers. The Banjara villagers are quite tiny so these cholis often need to be altered to fit Western women. Due to authentic wear there may be holes, stains, missing mirrors, or other flaws.
