FAQ
If you have any questions before ordering please read the FAQs below. If your question was not answered below, please contact Silk Road Tribal. I am always happy to answer your questions. 

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are based on weight and destination. Domestic orders can use the Shipping Calculator in the Shopping Cart for real-time shipping costs. All customers based outside the U.S. should proceed to the Checkout where shipping costs are calculated during Step 2 of the checkout process. To calculate shipping, simply add the items you are interested in to the shopping cart and use one of the options listed above. 

When will my order ship?
Orders ship Monday through Friday and usually the same day the order is placed, but occasionally it may take up to 48 hours of receiving your order for it to ship.

When will my order arrive?
Most domestic shipments are usually delivered within 3–10 days of placing an order. International orders take longer for delivery and shipping times vary. International orders shipped by First Class International Mail may take between 14 and 30 days to arrive. We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Silk Road Tribal or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping. Silk Road Tribal is not responsible for delays, mishandling, damage, or lost packages due to handling by the USPS or UPS. Shipping insurance is optional and available with some shipping methods and is recommended for your protection.

What methods do you use for shipping?
Silk Road Tribal ships all domestic orders via United States Postal Service (USPS) or UPS. International orders ship via USPS First Class International Mail or USPS Priority Mail. The USPS requires that international orders over 4 lbs. to be shipped via Priority Mail.

Can my order be tracked and insured?
Yes, if you choose USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, or UPS. These methods provide tracking, delivery confirmation, insurance, and tracing in the case of missing or lost packages. USPS First-Class International Mail does NOT offer these services. If you choose to have your order shipped by USPS First-Class International Mail you do so at your own risk.

What countries do you ship to?
Silk Road Tribal ships to many countries outside of the United States. If you receive an address error when placing an order please contact Silk Road Tribal to have your country added to the shipping methods. Shipping charges vary depending on weight, size, and destination of package and customers are solely responsible for shipping charges.

Do I have to pay Taxes, Customs, & Duty?
Washington State Customers: Silk Road Tribal automatically charges and withholds the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within Washington state. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or any other taxes.

International Customers: You are solely responsible for any import duties, customs, and/or taxes that may apply to orders. Silk Road Tribal is not responsible for any national, regional, and/or local customs, duties, and/or taxes imposed upon your order. All customs documentation will truthfully disclose the value and contents of the package and cannot be falsified or marked as "gift."

What forms of payment do you accept?
Silk Road Tribal accepts the following payment types: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and PayPal.

Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information may cause an error and decline the transaction.

Do you charge a fee to make a purchase?
There is no surcharge for using your credit card or PayPal to make purchases on this web site. 

Do you accept any other forms of payment?
If you would like to make a purchase using another payment method, please contact Silk Road Tribal by email or phone at 206.794.5357 (Pacific Time) for details and accepted payment methods. Please note that any item on this site is still available for sale and may be sold until payment is received.

Is your web site secure?
Yes. Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology. This site uses industry-standard 128-bit encryption technologies when transferring and receiving your personal and financial information on our site. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate is managed by GeoTrust, one of the leading providers of Internet security solutions. When you proceed to the checkout to make a purchase, you are transferred to a secure portion of our web site which is secured by our SSL Certificate. Any personal or financial information you enter is secured under the industry-standard SSL protocol. Your financial information is never stored on our site.

Do you accept Returns & Exchanges?
If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase Silk Road Tribal will be happy to exchange it or give you a refund. Sorry, no exchanges or refunds on sale items. Refunds or exchanges are accepted only with prior authorization. If there is a problem with your order or if it is not as you expected, please notify Silk Road Tribal within two weeks of receiving your order either by email or phone at 206.794.5357 (Pacific Time).

Items must be accompanied by the original receipt and in their original condition. Before a replacement item can be shipped to you, Silk Road Tribal must receive the item you are returning. Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility. If Silk Road Tribal ships you the wrong item you will be reimbursed for the cost of shipping the returned item to us and we will pay for the cost of shipping a replacement item to you.

Tribal Disclaimer
Many of the tribal and ethnic jewelry and textiles pieces that Silk Road Tribal sells are old and authentic and/or reconstructed from old and authentic pieces. Many of these items have been handmade and previously worn by tribal people. Therefore, they might be in used and imperfect condition. There may be wear and tear, stains, fading, discoloration, missing pieces, holes, dents, and/or other flaws. I believe it enhances and adds to the richness and beauty of the piece. I try to note any imperfections in the description and photos.
