Vintage cowrie shells have been rescued and recycled from old Banjara and Rabari clothing, textiles, and jewelry. These tribal cowrie shells are time worn with soft edges and a wonderful patina. Some have bits of thread and fabric still clinging to them. Open backs allow for easy sewing or stringing onto your project. Images show examples of various bags. Sold in a 1 oz. bag of mixed sizes, approximately 25-30 pieces per bag. India.
